Sea Feather Estate has published the first edition of its own newspaper, the Sea Feather Times, created for the Canada International Property Show in Edmonton on October 9 and 10.
Sea Feather Estate, the villa development on the grounds of Golden Rock Resort on St. Eustatius, has published the first edition of the Sea Feather Times. The newspaper was developed for the estate’s appearance at the Canada International Property Show, and it can now also be read online.
It tells the story of the estate the way a conversation on the island would: who built it, what is rising on the site today, and what daily life on Statia looks like.
Inside the first edition
The first edition opens with the story of Peter Barnhoorn, the Dutch entrepreneur behind Golden Rock Resort, and how a parcel of land on St. Eustatius became a five-star resort.
It continues on the building site, where the first villas at Sea Feather Estate are rising. They are built by the same in-house team that built the resort, at a deliberate pace of five villas per year.
Readers will also find how the optional rental program works, the new beach club on the Caribbean side of the island, reached by shuttle from the resort, and a weather forecast that anyone who has visited Statia will recognize.

Printed copies of the Sea Feather Times are available at booth D05. Martin de Reus, the development’s private sales advisor, will be present on both days to answer questions about the plots, the villas, and ownership at Sea Feather Estate.
